HISTORY |
| |
| Dear
Customer |
| |
| This
business started in 1983 when I found that my interests were changing
and I decided to sell a personal collection. This coincided with the
initial demise of Airfix and I found a ready market for my kits. So
much so that I decided to deal in them. |
| |
| The
business ran as a part time hobby until 1989 with a turn over of some
£20,000 per annum. One of my fondest memories is of my small
children using daddy's parcels one Sunday, after I had finished the
weeks packing, to build a fort to play cowboys and Indians. |
| |
| Finally
the time came when I thought that I could make a living from full
time kit dealing and, wanting to get out of the rat race, I gave up
my day job. It was a difficult decision but on the basis that you
don't regret what you do in life, your regret what you don#t do, I
decided to give it a go. |
| The
business has boomed, with turnover doubling and doubling again and
again. How turnover is about £250,00 per annum with over 100,000
kits in stock in our 3000 sq. foot warehouse. A far cry from the spare
bedroom and I've done £50.00 this week missus! |
